What our work actually costs
Most HVAC companies make you book a visit to find out what anything costs. These are our real numbers, taken from jobs we actually completed and invoiced — not a marketing range.
Quick answer: HVAC prices in Fresno
A Central Elite service call is $75 on a weekday, and that covers a full diagnosis. Most repairs beyond the service call land between $303 and $775, with a median of $479. A one-time maintenance visit is $120, or $180 a year for the plan that covers two visits. A full system replacement typically runs $7,300 to $19,300 depending on size, efficiency and ductwork. Every price is quoted in writing before any work starts. Call (559) 254-4680.
What it costs to get us out there
The service call covers travel and a full diagnosis. You get the repair price in writing before we touch anything.
$75 is what we charged on 134 completed service calls between November 2024 and October 2026, 69 of them this year. It is not a teaser rate.
What repairs actually came to
Every completed repair we invoiced in the last 12 months, past the service call itself. Real invoices, not a price book.
Based on 157 completed repairs invoiced between October 2025 and October 2026. The big outliers at the top end are compressor and coil work, which is usually the point where replacement deserves a look.
Tune-ups and the plan
The plan is the better arithmetic for most homes: two visits inside the plan cost less than two one-time visits, and members get priority scheduling in peak season plus member pricing on repairs. See what the plan covers →
What a new system has cost
Complete system replacements we installed over the past two years.
Based on 21 complete system replacements over the last two years. The full span ran $3,829 to $23,877. $0-down financing is available for qualified homeowners, and every installation carries our 10-year parts and labor warranty.
What actually moves the number
System size, which comes out of a Manual J load calculation rather than your square footage. The efficiency tier you pick. Whether your ductwork can carry the air the new system moves, which is the single most common surprise. Electrical and gas work the install needs to pass inspection. Access, which is why a roof-mounted package unit is not the same job as a ground-level split system. We walk every one of these with you before you see a number.
How we handle money
The price is written before the work
You approve a written price first. It does not change afterwards without your say-so, and anything we find mid-job gets quoted separately before we continue.
The service call is credited on repairs we do
When you approve the repair, the diagnostic fee comes off the invoice. You are not paying twice for the same visit.
We will tell you to keep what you have
Our own job records include visits logged as second opinions that ended with the customer keeping their system. Replacement is the answer when the math says so, not by default.
These are historical, not a quote
Every figure here is what past jobs actually came to. Your home is its own job, and the only number that counts is the written one you approve.
Questions about pricing
How much is a service call in Fresno?
$75 Monday through Friday, $125 on a weekend, and $99 for commercial work. That covers travel and a full diagnosis, and it is credited back when you approve the repair.
What does a typical AC repair cost?
Across the repairs we completed in the last year, the median came to $479 and the middle half landed between $303 and $775. Nine in ten came in under $930. Capacitors and contactors sit near the bottom; compressor and coil work sits at the top.
Why do you publish this when nobody else does?
Because the first question every homeowner has is what it costs, and making people book a visit to find out wastes their time and ours. These numbers come out of our own completed invoices, so you can judge a quote before anyone is standing in your hallway.
Is the price I am quoted the price I pay?
Yes. You approve a written price before work begins and it does not move afterwards. If we open something up and find a second problem, that gets its own written price and its own yes or no from you.
